Garden Fountains

"Garden Fountains can create a calming atmosphere
in your yard or on the patio"

Garden Fountains are a great way to personalize your patio area.

Not only are they interesting conversation starters, the calming effect of the sound of flowing water can transform your ‘ordinary’ patio into a haven of relaxation!

As with many other types of outdoor decor, these fountains are available in a wide variety of materials, shapes, sizes and prices ranges.

Garden Wall Fountain When planning for your fountain, think about the space available for the piece. If your patio area is quite small, a wall fountain can be a great choice. It won’t take up any of your precious floor space and will provide the same qualities of a traditional garden water fountain.

For birdwatching enthusiasts, consider a combination birdbath and water fountain. Again, sizes and price ranges are available for just about any budget.

If your preference is to keep the family pets at bay, consider a type of fencing around your garden fountain to protect the area. Or, go ahead and let them quench their thirst!

Some folks want that very natural, outdoor look for their fountain - one that seems to blend right in with the landscape.

If that describes your lifestyle, consider a rock waterfall type of fountain. Even the most modest of budgets can find rock waterfall that will look good and meet the ‘natural look’ criteria, some for under $100.

Garden Fountain Birdbath Here are some important considerations when purchasing a fountain for your garden or patio:

  • Fountain kit - Be sure that your selection comes with a kit, complete with a fountain pump and other accessories.
  • Electric or solar - Think about the need for electric connections, unless you plan to get a solar pump. Be sure to place your fountain where it will be easy to connect to a power source. Also, keep your pump as safe as possible by using an earth leakage device that will cut the power if there is ever a short circuit in the power supply.
  • Level Ground- Cast stone fountains and other such fountains can be quite heavy.

Be careful when moving them, and be sure to place them on a very level surface to eliminate tipping or tilting.

Also, the water will flow at it’s best when the fountain is on level ground.

Simple or elaborate, budget friendly or custom created, garden fountains will add interest, beauty and a calming influence to your outdoor patio retreat!
