Small Accent Tables
"Add style and punch to your space with small accent tables"
Small accent tables may not be large in size, but they can add style, drama and punch to a room or space. You've worked hard to design and decorate your home/room/space...made careful decisions, strived to put just the right pieces together. The space is almost complete, but it needs a 'little something' here and there, to make the room click. And, you don't want a large or cumbersome piece, just something small. Why not consider a small accent piece? There are so many creative shapes, textures, colors and styles to choose from. Here are a few suggestions for you, to help make that decision.
When selecting small accent pieces:- Try to 'think outside the box' and select a piece that has a unique and different element to contribute to your space
- Look for the little details...drawer pulls, shape of the leg, etc. These are the eye-catchers
- If you have a lot of square shapes in your room, such as sofa, chair, rug, coffee table, etc., look for an accent piece with soft rounded edges
- Consider an accent table with a designed top, whether it is mosaic, etched glass, iron, etc.
- If your room or space is large enough, it's okay to introduce a couple of unique accent pieces. Just keep them separate so that each piece shines on its own and does not compete with the other
Consider the accent piece to the left. It is very unique, has a little bit of color, interesting shape, and would be a conversation piece in a contemporary, modern, transitional or eclectic style home. This could be used as an end table, hall or entry piece or even a sofa table. Dimensions are 25" High x 30.75" Wide x 19.25" Deep. Notice the inset top, pewter drawer pull and bottom shelf. It's a great addition to the room! Ready to search for some great small accent pieces? Good! Here is Great Home Decorating's Small Accent Table ShopHave fun!
